Just the other day I was listening to a training call from 2008 about a girlfriend of mine in the home-based business industry and she couldn’t recruit at all when she first got started.

She’s a single mom from Nevada with a beautiful bright daughter. She’s told me that all she wanted was to be able to raise her daughter at home. Home business was her route and she was going to make it work. After having success retailing her product she wanted to take it to another level and start recruiting for her business.

She invested in her training daily and hired a personal coach to learn how to recruit. It took her 6 months to be able to read the first line of the script book without having someone hang up on her. She kept on persisting, and quitting was NOT an option- she had a child to feed and a roof to keep over her head. Mama HAS TO bring home the bacon! Every single month without fail she would attend the training events, do the prospecting and closing classes, book personal coaching, and attend the advanced training events. She did this as a single mom ya’ll. 1 year later, she is our mentor’s top student and she is a RECRUITING machine! People approach her with credit card in hand wanting to get started in her home-based business so that she can show them what she did. At the training events, people hunt her down to hear her story.

You know what’s amazing about Charlotte. She didn’t quit. Each time she fell down, she got back up. Failure was nothing but a learning experience. After each failure, she learned and focused on her goal; which was to make 6 figures a year while working part-time from home. After many learning experiences, she made it. She is now debt free and works part-time from home as a very successful 6-figure entrepreneur.

The one thing to take away from this story is that failures are nothing but learning curves. Each time you fail, you learn. Keep your end goal in mind and work hard at learning your new prospecting skills or your online marketing skills. You will make it if you don’t quit. Remember Charlotte’s story when things get a little tough.

TIP: Listen to one cd/mp3/video a day that will help you develop your skill.
