It’s freakin 4:45am and I’ve got to get up and hit the gym. Needless to say, that I went to bed at 12am. I know that I’m not getting enough rest- but you can sleep when you die! There’s goals to be hit today.
Of course my two Husky’s are up and ready to go with their mommy for a ride to the gym and then a quick run around a very large park. I swear that they give me their energy in the mornings.
I take a creatine shot and hump it to the gym. This workout is going to be fun and hard at the same time… because… today is leg day. Ouch! Balls against the wall…LET’S GO!!!
I’m training for a body building contest and I’m GOING TO WIN 1st place. So I don’t mind the hard work for the next 8 weeks. I’ve had to change my diet and take supplements. Fun I tell ya.
Coming to a head… The reason that I’m inspired to write this article is because this is a CAKE WALK compared to the training that I had to undergo with Network Marketing. DUDE – this industry was the hardest thing that I ever had to do. I’ve got the battle scars to prove it.
You may be in Network Marketing or some type of business that you personally own. If you are, you most definitely know that there is a HUGE learning curve if you had no prior experience or People Skills.
This industry, unlike others will require you to change or sink. There’s no gray area when it comes to success in your home business. As my mentor quotes: “Your pay check follows your personal growth.” I had the misfortune of having a manager of mine disagree with me when I told him about this quote. Needless to say, the ol’ chap has nothing in his life that I desire, and YES, he is still working for someone else- and he sees no need to change that. Period, end of story.
Thank goodness I pay attention to people who are where I desire to be in life. Obviously, they know something that I don’t.
Once critical thing that I learned was about my mind and how to feed, nourish and train it to think differently. Here are the steps on how I was able to change the current diet that I was on:
1: Association change: Removing or Avoiding negative influences from television; family that speak death over you; old gossip fence friends; and negative workmates.
2. Mind Change: I forgave people in my past. I let go of grudges quickly. I had to correct my Pre-Madonna Attitude and dig to see why I was offended easily by people (that took a minute).
3. Relationship Change: I bought the Love Dare book and completed it on my husband. I hired a Marriage Counselor that was recommended by my mentor. I learned about Love Languages, and Boundaries in Marriage. I had to learn to LISTEN and Respect my husband. I had to realize that I needed to make changes first in the relationship and work on me the hardest. Bluntly said- “Stop pointing fingers at him and change ME first.” OW- I just got my butt tanned!
4. Training/Thought pattern change: Respect others at all times. Listen before you speak. Deliberately replace negative thoughts with TRUTH about myself. Each day, I choose 1 thing to work on about myself -and worked on it until I mastered it. I listened to myself on purpose to correct words like: I CAN’T; I DON’T KNOW HOW; etc.
5: Supplements: I feed my mind on Audio Books on cd or ipod with Home Business Training, Relationship/Marriage training, and Personal Growth Training. EVERY DAY I LISTEN TO SOMETHING!!
6: Mental Strength Training: 1st Steps To Success, Creating A Dynasty, and many other workshops that I physically attend.
Whew! That was just dealing with my head- let alone the People/Phone Skills that I had to learn. That is another article at another time baby.
Point is- I had to PUSH myself to change and not quit. Of course it’s not pleasant to change the mental diet that you were on. Man, I had to change mental addictions! That takes steady PUSHING through the tough spots. Hell, I still have tough spots to push through now and again.
But it’s worth it.
PUSH yourself, and see the benefit of change. Pick one thing and start on that. You’ll be glad you did.
