I had that question too until I found out how the 5% of network marketers made a 6 and 7 figure income.
The difference was that Amateurs sell, while Professionals Market. Once I figured that out, I proceeded to learn how to market like a Professional.
Here are some of the tips that I will share with you about Professional MLM’ers, and how to become a success in MLM so that you don’t become a statistic.
How To Become A Success In MLM: Tip #1:
Professionals utilize online advertising tools or “ROBOTS” to work for them 24 hours, while they pursue their daily schedules. With the proper tools in place, a marketing professional will have an endless supply of prospects chasing after them.
In contrast, Amateurs fail to leverage the power of marketing and advertising.
How to Become A Success In MLM: Tip #2:
Professional Marketers also know how to advertise to their target market. They don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to marketing. Professionals use different marketing strategies to reach their audience.
This is the opposite of the way that Amateurs market. Typically, Amateurs (I’m not talking about you) promote a replicated company website that casts a large net to the general public, hoping to catch a few prospects.
How To Become A Success In MLM: Tip #3:
Professionals have a marketing funnel for their prospects, so that they only deal with highly qualified leads. The marketing funnel is another tool that saves the professional time, and increases their income.
Ask an Amateur if they have a marketing funnel. Wha..what…what marketing funnel!? Exactly.
How To Become A Success In MLM: Tip #4:
Professionals sell the solution to people’s problems, they don’t sell a company. Professionals understand the psychology of people. They know that people are only interested in the benefits that comes with what they are offering. They want their problems solved, they don’t want a company.
And here comes the Amateur (I’m not talking about you) throwing up all over people about their company and their product. Yuk, yuk, yuk. And then they wonder why it’s so hard to make money in this thing.
How To Become A Success In MLM: Tip #5:
Professionals have a step-by-step system in place that equips the new person to make money. They also mentor and produce new independent leaders in their business.
Amateurs don’t have a simple system or a professional training forum for their new people to plug into. Let’s not mention the adult day-care that they created (Remember…I’m not talking about you)
How To Become A Success In MLM: Tip #6:
Professionals are constantly training and improving themselves. They attend marketing trainings, and personal development conferences. They turn their cars into a traveling university. Go to any Professional’s home and take a peek at their library. You typically will find tons of books about their craft and books about mindset.
Amateurs usually attend one event or training, and think that’s it. One event or training is not going to make them a professional. This is an ongoing process. This is not a 30 day, wait and see type of industry. This industry deserves a long term commitment, not a ‘let me try my luck’ lottery ticket.
So those are my 6 tips. Here’s a bonus: Be sure that the person you get started with uses systems, practice what they preach, and that they have a vested interest in your success.
